Your Mother’s Day ‘Momtra’

Being a mom is rewarding, but can also be, well, stressful! Long sleepless nights, worrying about everything, Sometimes mom (or any parent) needs a moment for herself… a mindful moment.

A recent study has shown that nursing moms saw a significant boost in their mental well-being after eight-weeks of practicing mindfulness. Mothers reported on improvements in maternal self-efficacy, life satisfaction, less psychological distress, a boost in happiness and more.

So when you’re thinking of what to give your mom this mother’s day, forget the flowers. Give your mom a Momtra!

1. a word or sound repeated to remind your mom that she’s amazing.
2. a statement or slogan repeated frequently about how amazing mom is.
Here are some examples:
“I will learn the daily lessons my child teaches me.”
“I can do anything, but I can’t do everything.”
“The next time is another opportunity.”
“There isn’t one right way to be a great mother.”
